When the skater attacks the PEP Gear at 30-40 km per hour, how quickly can the player get out of”trouble” AND “counter” with skills/tactics? The PEP Gear is the “trouble”-(stimulus) and the open lane or stick attachment is the “counter:’ Under pressure, the forward must “counter” by quickly maneuvering the puck through the open lane. This is GAME TRANSFER.
When the D-man attacks the top of the PEP Gear and transitions forward to backwards and fore check pressure is added, how quickly can the D-man get out of “trouble” and “counter” with an escape (without turning over the puck)? The “counter” is the open lane or stick attachment that the D-man has to maneuver through under pressure.
While the forwards execute a 3 shot cycle circuit , the D-men are working a give & go defense circuit. At the end of both circuits, the F-1 and F-2 forwards attack both D-men for a 1 on 1 down the ice.
